Overview
Produce designs according to client specifications and within limits of production capability. Produce objects with material and equipment according to job specifications and recognised standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 plus appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Earth moving equipment mechanic, Construction plant mechanic, Tractor Mechanic, or Diesel mechanic plus experience as a Tradesman
- The candidates must have a and willing to work overtime and standby Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Technical analysis knowledge
- Technical Report writing knowledge

Responsibilities
- Produce designs according to client specifications and within limits of production capability
- Produce objects with material and equipment according to job specifications and recognised standards
- Quality assurance of produced objects
- Inspect equipment an d plant for technical faults
- Repair equipment and facilities according to standards
- Test repaired equipment and plant against specifications
- Service equipment and plant according to schedule
- Quality assures serviced and maintained equipment and/or faci lities
- Compile and submit reports
- Provide inputs to the operational plan
- Keep and maintain job record/register
- Supervise and mentor staff
- Continuous individual development to keep up with new technologies and procedures
- Research and literature studies on technical/engineering technology to improve expertise
