Overview
Artisan Plumber responsible for maintenance and repair of plumbing systems in the hospital.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Completed apprenticeship and passing trade test in plumbing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post trade test in plumbing
- Valid code 08 drivers’ licence
- Knowledge of the occupational health and safety act
- Technical and practical skills in plumbing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy
Responsibilities
- Visual checks and repairs of all plant and equipment
- Plan and carry out major maintenance plumbing works
- Inspect new and existing works completed by contractors
- Manage hospital maintenance including emergency and routine maintenance
- Oversee tradesman aid and handyman under supervision
- Perform administrative functions
- Continuous individual development to keep up with new technologies
