Overview
Engineering design and analysis effectiveness: Perform final review and approvals or audits on new engineering designs according to design principles or theory. Maintain engineering operational effectiveness: Manage the execution of maintenance strategy through the provision of appropriate structures, systems and resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering (B Tech) or relevant qualification
- A minimum of six years post qualification Engineering Technologist experience required
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist
- A valid code B driving license
- Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Project Management, Technical design and traffic analysis

Responsibilities
- Engineering design and analysis effectiveness: Perform final review and approvals or audits on new engineering designs according to design principles or theory
- Maintain engineering operational effectiveness: Manage the execution of maintenance strategy through the provision of appropriate structures, systems and resources
- Governance: Allocate, control, monitor and report on all resources
- Financial Management: Ensure the availability and management of funds to meet the MTEF objectives within the engineeri ng environment/services
- People management: Manage the development, motivation and utilization of human resources for the discipline to ensure competent knowledge base for the continued success of engineering services according to organizational needs and requirements
