Overview
Perform general activities in respect of crop production: Irrigation of crops, Soil cultivation and preparation (cleaning and hoeing). Perform general activities in respect of livestock: Care for sick livestock’s, dipping, vaccination and dosing.
Requirements
- Abet level 2 certificate or equivalent
- Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of the following: Farm infrastructure construction and maintenance
- General maintenance of infrastructure
- General Farmwork
- Working with farm animals and pastures
- Skills in the following: Communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle and carry weights of up to 50 kg
- Numeracy
- Literacy
- Driving
- Operating equipment
Responsibilities
- Perform general activities in respect of crop production: Irrigation of crops, Soil cultivation and preparation (cleaning and hoeing)
- Perform general activities in respect of livestock: Care for sick livestock’s, dipping, vaccination and dosing
- Perform g eneral activities which would: Cleaning of facilities, disposal of farm waste material
- Perform general activities in respect of infrastructure: Maintain and build roads, fences, pipelines, canals, dams, drinking troughs, animal housing

- Maintain windmills and water supply system
