Overview
Provide effective, efficient, safe hygiene and cleaning practices within the laundry. Provide a support service to Linen Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience: Appropriate Laundry and Linen experience in a Central Laundry setting
- Inherent requirement of the job: Physically fit to do manual labour
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide effective, efficient, safe hygiene and cleaning practices within the laundry
- Provide a support service to Linen Supervisor
- Daily unloading of soiled linen from trucks
- Daily loading of trucks
- Return of clean linen to linen bank
- Packing of shelv es in Linen bank
- Sorting of soiled linen under the supervision of the Linen Supervisor
