Staff Nurse
Overview
Provide Health Education to patients accessing care. Measure, interpret and record vital signs.
Requirements
- Grade 1: Experience: None
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Enrolled Nurse
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Enrolled Nurse
- Current registration with SANC (2026/2027) Knowledge And Skills: Good Communication and interpersonal relations
- Strong ability to work within a team
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines
- Be willing to travel extensively
- Knowledge of policies and HIV/AIDS management, all treatment policies and guideline
- Appropriate experience in the management of HIV treatment

Responsibilities
- Provide Health Education to patients accessing care
- Measure, interpret and record vital signs
- Operate all relevant apparatus and equipment
- Provide treatment literacy to clients on chronic medication to enhance adherence
- Offer quality HIV Counselling and Testing services on site including HIV SS and Index Testing
- Provide quality TB, STI & COVID Screening
- Assist professional nurses with clinical procedures, preparation of patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures., effective utilization of resourc es such as to order stock and equipment in a cost -effective manner and immediate report of lost or damaged resources) and maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development: To maintain the code of conduct as required in the Public Service and by the Professional Body
- Maintain quality data management in line with the SOP's
