Overview
The Microsoft Communications Internship offers graduates practical experience in corporate communications. The internship provides exposure to communication campaigns, content creation, employee engagement, research and project coordination. Interns will work with experienced communications professionals and teams across Microsoft.
Requirements
- Must be completing or have recently completed a relevant bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, Corporate Communications or a related field.
- Final-year students must have no more than six months remaining on their qualification.
- South African citizens.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Project coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Responsibilities
- Support internal and external communication campaigns.
- Create, edit and publish communication content.
- Prepare newsletters, presentations and intranet content.
- Assist with social media and employee communications.
- Develop articles, blog posts and executive messages.
- Help create videos and event communication materials.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with company programmes and events.
- Conduct research for communication campaigns.
- Gather insights to support communication strategies.
- Track communication metrics and engagement data.
- Identify communication trends and opportunities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across business teams.
- Support project planning and scheduling.
- Assist with logistics for communication activities and events.
