Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an intern to join the editorial team at our B2B office in Woodmead, Johannesburg. This is a 12-month internship programme, and the ideal candidate must be available to start from 1 October 2026. As an editorial intern, you will work across multiple B2B publications, gaining hands-on experience in the full editorial cycle — from researching and writing original content to sub-editing, fact-checking, and preparing material for publication across print and digital platforms.
Requirements
- A qualification in journalism, media studies, English, communications, or a related discipline
- Strong writing ability with a clear, accurate, and engaging style
- Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and sub-editing
- A solid grasp of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- An interest in business journalism and the industries we cover — healthcare, finance, manufacturing, retail, and the built environment
- Based in Johannesburg and able to commute to the Woodmead office daily
Responsibilities
- Researching and writing articles, news pieces, and feature content for B2B publications across multiple sectors
- Conducting interviews with industry professionals, subject-matter experts, and business leaders
- Sub-editing and proofreading copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to house style
- Fact-checking content, including verifying statistics, sources, and technical claims in specialist publications
- Sourcing and preparing images, infographics, and other visual elements to accompany editorial content
- Assisting with the planning and production of editorial calendars and content schedules
- Uploading and formatting content on the WordPress-based websites across B2B brands
- Assisting with digital content production, including newsletters, web articles, and social media copy where required
- Building an understanding of the industries we serve and the audiences we write for
