Overview
Eskom has opened its Group Capital Division Graduate Internship Programme 2026/2027, giving unemployed South African graduates in finance, law, communications, human resources and the built environment a paid route into the country’s power utility. The internship runs across Gauteng, Free State and Mpumalanga, and no previous work experience is required.
Requirements
- Unemployed South African graduate, not currently in permanent employment
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree, BCom, BA, BTech or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field
- Relevant fields include Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Law, Built Environment, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, Risk Management, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Human Resources, Safety Management, Environmental Science or Information Systems
- South African citizen
- Willing to be placed in Gauteng, Free State or Mpumalanga
Responsibilities
- Structured, paid workplace training within Eskom’s Group Capital Division
- Practical exposure to large-scale infrastructure and construction project environments
- Development in business functions such as finance, law, HR, communications, safety and environmental management
- Placement across sites in Gauteng, Free State and Mpumalanga
- Mentorship from Eskom professionals
