Overview

The Human Resources Intern is responsible for providing operational and administrative support by conducting research, preparing documents and reports, and performing clerical functions to support the HR Team, HR Director, and Finance Director.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate
  • Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in human resources or other related field
  • S.A Citizen, Resident or Valid S.A Work Permit
  • Valid code B driver’s license and own transport
  • Passed credit and criminal checks

Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Department with the implementation of HR Policies and enforce adherence to the policies
  • Assist in maintaining database of HRIS
  • Assist with annual and quarterly submissions, when required
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare documentation for the department
  • Assist with day-to-day transactional HR matters
  • Coordinate employee development & training, including training agreements and registers
  • Take minutes during HR related meetings and compile them for proofreading
  • Monitor employees’ time and attendance daily
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and coordinate interviews
  • Maintain a database of CV’s received for future use
  • Create employee files and relevant accounts for new employees
  • Conduct induction with new employees on company policies and procedures
  • Assist with updating and maintaining performance objectives and KPI’s on HRIS
  • Send out monthly check-ins and performance reviews
