Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Pharmacist Intern for their Cornubia store. The purpose of this Internship is to equip learners to understand the underlying principles of all of the major areas related to the pharmaceutical environment and promoting the notion of quality lifelong learning.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- BPharm - 4 year
- Computer literate – MS Office
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care and take responsibility for patients' medicine-related needs.
- Assist with the compounding, manipulation or preparation of medicines.
- Re-package medicine and control stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 6 medicines.
- Read and prepare prescriptions, label and supply medicine.
- Provide instructions regarding the correct use of medicine.
- Advise and assist patients at the dispensary and self-medication counter.
- Process paperwork for medical aid claims and correct errors on rejected scripts.
- Maintain customer profiles and report on stock levels.
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
