Job Description:
Afrimat, a leading supplier of construction materials and industrial minerals in South Africa, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaner to join their team. As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our quarry and office facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchen areas, and common areas, ensuring they are well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean and maintain windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are properly used, stored, and maintained.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience as a general worker
- Previous experience of working in mining environment is advantageous
- Able to work under pressure
- Must be prepared to work after hours (overtime)
- Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment
