Job Description:

Anglo American has an exciting opportunity for a Truck Operator OC who will be responsible for efficiently operating the Truck to transport and dump large loads in accordance with operational requirements.

They are currently looking for a Truck Operator OC to join their Platinum team at their Mogalakwena operation. This is a critical position on the Mining team, and you will be responsible for:

• Participate in the pre-shift line-up and the daily pre-check inspection.
• Any flaws discovered should be reported to Dispatch Supervisor
• Refuel the truck and check the oil and tire pressures as needed.
• Log on to the truck before the operation begins.
• Receive assignments and instructions via computer panel
• Maintain proper following distances and keep an eye on road conditions.
• To coordinate activities, communicates with other operators and the supervisor via radio system.
• Obtains current assignments by using a graphic console.
• Ensures that trucks are operated in accordance with safety and health regulations.
• Identify and appoint a spotter as needed.
• Establish two-way communication with team members and the supervisor.
• Assist team members with job execution.
• Complete checklists for equipment and shift changes, and distribute data correctly.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Haul truck certificate (Rigid dump truck/haul truck)
• Valid driving license
• One-year Truck Operator operation experience
