Bidvest Facilities Management is a leading provider of integrated facilities management solutions. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Artisan Electrician to join their team in Cape Town. If you have a strong background in electrical engineering, possess the necessary certifications and licenses, and have practical knowledge of working on air breakers and PLCs, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to their organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
- Install and connect electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices.
- Diagnose electrical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
- Interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with the OHS Act.
- Complete work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- N3 – N6 in Electrical Engineering.
- Trade-Test (Electrical) certification.
- Matric (Senior Certificate).
- Valid South African Driver’s License.
- Wireman’s License (3 Phase).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the electrical engineering (maintenance) field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a trade role.
- Practical knowledge of working on air breakers and PLCs.
- Intermediate skill level in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
