They are currently seeking 17 friendly, efficient, and customer-focused Cashier to join their team. As a Cashier at Buco, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service at the point of sale, maximizing sales opportunities, and ensuring the security of all transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Efficiently and accurately process sales transactions at the point of sale.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that it is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Safeguard all receipts and the contents of the till, following strict security protocols at all times.
  • Minimize the risk to the business by adhering to cash handling procedures and identifying potential fraudulent activities.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, striving to resolve them in a positive and efficient manner.
  • Upsell and cross-sell relevant products or promotions to customers, maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the checkout process.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and promotions to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Uphold the company’s standards for exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Integrity and trustworthiness in handling cash transactions and sensitive customer information.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
