Business Analyst III
Overview
The purpose of the Business Analyst III role is to strategize and facilitate effective and competitive business processes by eliciting, analysing, validating, and documenting business, organisational and operational requirements, providing cost-benefit analysis, suitable alternatives and recommendations. The role conducts market analyses, analysing both product lines and the overall profitability of the business while developing and monitoring data quality metrics to ensure business data and reporting needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-level analysis activities during the Ideation and Discovery phase of projects.
- Provide input into the creation of business cases aligned to organisational strategies.
- Perform detailed analysis activities within the CE cycle.
- Understand, analyse and identify opportunities for improvement within the current business environment.
- Contribute to business strategy discussions and remain informed of current trends.
- Operate confidently across multiple domains and integrated systems.
- Analyse customer needs and multiple domain impacts through user journeys.
- Assess and document the business implications of user requirements.
- Define business rules and guide their implementation.
- Drive and shape solution scope and ensure alignment with business users.
- Produce fit-for-purpose business requirements and process documentation.
- Liaise across teams to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
- Take ownership of knowledge within a specific area.
- Work closely with Architects, Designers and Business Stakeholders.
- Influence stakeholders across business and technology teams.
- Coach and mentor Junior and Intermediate Business Analysts.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with business users and IT stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships where projects involve third-party providers.
- Plan and organise work effectively and deliver on commitments.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert within Communities of Practice.
