They are currently seeking a skilled Handyman to join their team and assist with general maintenance and repair tasks. Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
- Assist with electrical work, plumbing, and handling and operating power tools.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety act and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist as a relief driver/messenger and admission controller when needed.
- Conduct basic quality checks to ensure work meets required standards.
- Interact professionally with internal and external clients.
- Utilize basic computer skills for record keeping and communication.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate tasks efficiently.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in general construction or the handyman trade.
- Grade 10 National Certificate.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, and handling and operating power tools.
- Familiarity with the Health and Safety act.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of quality principles and practices.
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulatory requirements.
- Client interaction skills (both internal and external).
- Basic computer skills.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle telephonic and call-related tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Numerical reasoning skills.
- Proficient in computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Effective planning, organizing, and coordination abilities.
