Overview
Faircape Health is seeking experienced, dedicated and compassionate Carers to provide personalised care and support to a versatile range of patients at Heritage Manor and Bridgewater Manor in Somerset West. The role involves catering to the needs of patients requiring long term care, sub acute rehabilitation, and respite care.
Requirements
- Acknowledged Carer training from reputable organisation advantageous
- SETA accreditation will be an advantage
- Proven experience as a Carer or in a similar environment
- Knowledge of caring principles for the aged, including dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitative care
- Clear health record
- Clear criminal record
- Clear credit record
- Contactable references
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities according to individualised care plans
- Provide comprehensive personal hygiene care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Participate in daily activities with residents
- Chart activities on the electronic system, Healthware
- Report changes or concerns in a resident's condition to a senior
- Comply with company policies related to infection control and health and safety
- Monitor resident safety on camera watch duty during night shifts
