Role Overview:
As a Cashier at eThekwini Municipality, you will play a crucial role in handling financial transactions and ensuring the accurate processing of payments. You will be the face of our organization, interacting with residents and visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issues permits to the public.
- In conjunction with the Pool Supervisor, undertakes sale of tickets and coupons to the public.
- Undertakes pool booking by receiving and diarising events, advising the Clerk of bookings and communicating with the Pool Supervisor.
- In conjunction with the Pool Supervisor, attends to members of the public.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Strong numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A customer-oriented and friendly approach to interactions.
