CLUSTERING ANALYST
Overview
This role exists to provide accurate category clustering insights that reflect customer behaviour and shopping missions, enabling informed decision-making across the Foods division. By analysing customer purchasing patterns and shopping needs, the role supports the development of effective assortment strategies, optimises space allocation, and enhances product display decisions to improve the overall customer shopping experience and drive business performance.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma
- Advanced data visualization and app development experience in QlikSense
- Advanced Excel (with experience using graphs, pivots etc.)
- 4-5 years’ experience within an analytical role, preferably in a retail environment
- Previous experience in category clustering and using Blue Yonder Channel Clustering would be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Category clusters accurately reflect customer behaviour, shopping missions and trading dynamics.
- The Category Clustering model is used effectively to deliver consistent, scalable and high-quality outputs.
- Category clustering outputs and customer data are translated into robust insights for Category teams.
- Clustering assessments are integrated into the Category Reset and Review process, with support provided to help Category teams interpret insights.
- Assortment Analysts are enabled to use Category Clustering insights effectively in assortment decisions.
- SRD data and reports enable SRD and Category teams to monitor and track SRD performance effectively.
- Effective collaboration with the CoE, IT, DnA, vendors and SRD team supports aligned clustering and reporting delivery.
- Category clustering capability is continuously improved in line with emerging trends and business needs.
