Code 10 Driver
Overview
The Code 10 Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, equipment, or materials to designated destinations while ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 (C1) driver's licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP)
- 2–5 years' driving experience
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
- Grade 12 (Matric) preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Code 10 vehicle
- Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes
- Load and offload cargo where required
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects
- Maintain delivery notes, logbooks, and proof of delivery documents
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness
- Adhere to the National Road Traffic Act and company safety procedures
- Report accidents, delays, breakdowns, or incidents immediately
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and collections
- Experience in logistics, distribution, retail, or warehousing
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Experience using delivery tracking systems or GPS navigation
