Wasteplan, a leading environmental solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Code 14 Driver to join their team. As a driver at Wasteplan, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of waste materials, contributing to their commitment to sustainable waste management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maneuvering heavy vehicles, including waste collection trucks, in compliance with road safety regulations and Wasteplan’s operational standards.
- Safely driving to designated locations for waste collection and disposal, following predetermined routes and schedules.
- Ensuring the proper loading, unloading, and secure transportation of waste materials.
- Conducting routine inspections of your vehicle and reporting any maintenance or operational issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Completing all required documentation accurately and timely, such as logbooks, delivery records, and incident reports.
- Providing excellent customer service by interacting with clients and addressing their inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Collaborating with the waste collection team to optimize routes, streamline processes, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Adhering to environmental and safety guidelines, including waste handling protocols and personal protective equipment usage.
- Acting as a brand ambassador for Wasteplan by maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 – 2 years working experience in a similar role
- Must have a valid Code 14 drivers’ license and a valid PDP
- Relevant qualifications and experience, knowledge and skills
- Clean driving record
