Overview
The Free State Department of Social Development is seeking to hire 15 Data Capturers for contract positions under the Social Sector Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), which will run for 12 months from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. Candidates will be responsible for accurately managing information and contributing to the department's initiatives aimed at addressing unemployment and poverty through public employment opportunities.
Requirements
- A recognised Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
- Basic knowledge and understanding of EPWP
- Understanding of EPWP’s relationship with national, provincial, and municipal government
- Basic organisational and coordination skills
- Computer literacy in MS Excel and MS Word
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to work long hours and under pressure
- Willingness to travel, which will be an added advantage
- Sound organising and planning skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate records and data
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Support administrative and reporting tasks related to the EPWP
- Adhere to guidelines and deadlines set by the department
