Overview
The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to create opportunities that influence economic growth and job creation within the Agri-processing sector and industries as well as acting as a programme and project manager for the various initiatives.
Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Economics
- A minimum of 3 years management experience
Responsibilities
- Develop operational primary sector programmes
- Develop and maintain networks with stakeholders
- Build and strengthen market growth and promotion of the primary sector
- Identify sector specific blockages
- Render project management and administration for primary sector programmes emanating from government policy
- Provide Human Resource and Financial Management
