Job Description:
Eskom is currently seeking 2 skilled and experienced Procurement Officers and 4 Assistant Procurement Officers to join their team at the Majuba Power Station. As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma / National N Diploma in Transport / Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain Management at NQF 6 with 240 credits.
- Two (2) years in sourcing and procurement or related technical experience for Assistant Procurement Officer.
- Three (3) years in sourcing and procurement or related technical experience for Procurement Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute purchasing of goods and services and manage procurement administration
- Perform dual adjudication of tenders and management of contracts/purchase orders within set policies and standards
- Consult with Supervisor to manage problems/risks and make recommendations timeously
- Negotiate and coordinate conclusion of the agreement with suppliers to meet customer expectation
- Build and maintain healthy interpersonal and inter-team relationships
- Access, analyse procurement information independently
