Job Summary:
Eskom, a leading electricity utility company in South Africa, is seeking a skilled and experienced Performance and Testing Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and analysing the performance of their power station equipment, ensuring it operates at optimal levels and meets safety and regulatory requirements.
Area of Specialization :
To monitor plant system performance and take remedial action to keep the plant performance as designed.
Qualification(s):
• Grade 12 + National Diploma Technical qualification

• 2 years related

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct performance testing on various power station equipment, including turbines, generators, boilers, and control systems.
- Analyze data and performance results to identify any deviations from expected outcomes and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure all testing and maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document all testing and maintenance activities, including results and corrective actions taken, using established procedures and systems.
- Participate in equipment inspections, including pre- and post-outage inspections, to identify any issues and perform necessary maintenance or repairs.
