The System Operator (soon to be the Independent Transmission and System Market Operator, ITSMO, as the Transmission business continues to legally separate) must keep the power system’s frequency at 50Hz in order to balance electricity supply and demand in real time.
Eskom is one of the few remaining vertically integrated utilities that is linked to the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) via an interconnected grid, which helps to maintain grid stability.
Eskom relies on SADC members to keep transmission grids in their countries adequate and reliable.
Job Description:
Eskom is looking for 2 Electrical Technicians To provide technical service for engineering designs and asset care at their Power Station in New Germany, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or National N6 Diploma (in Mechanical / Electrical / Control & Instrumentation / Civil / Chemical / Industrial / Systems Engineering)
