Floor Assistant - GWK Retail,Douglas
Overview
Draws merchandise from the stockroom as requested. Responsible for marking and bringing merchandise onto the floor and packing it onto the shelves.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF4
- Experience in agricultural retail serve as recommendation
- At least 1 - 3 years' experience transport, warehousing, or logistics operations
- Required to work weekends and public holidays as per roster
- Knowledge of load planning, weight distribution, and safety regulations
- Physically fit and able to manage heavy-duty tasks
- Clear Criminal Record
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and oversee the loading and unloading of cargo and goods
- Ensure weight distribution and securing of loads comply with safety standards
- Inspect cargo and documentation for accuracy before dispatch
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff
- Keep accurate records of loads, movements, and reconciliations
- Monitor and report any deviations, damages, or incidents during loading/unloading
- Uphold company values and maintain a safe working environment
