Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Handyman/Driver to support the day-to-day maintenance of our premises, while also assisting with errands, transporting goods, and providing driving services when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are well maintained and that general operational support is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance of office facilities and equipment.
  • Carry out basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, and other general maintenance tasks as required.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the premises and identify, report, or address maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a professional standard in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Assist with office relocations, furniture assembly, and minor installation projects.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external service providers and contractors where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and report any hazards or risks identified.
  • Maintain basic maintenance records, including repairs completed, issues identified, and work performed.
  • Provide support with the sourcing and collection of basic maintenance supplies when required.
  • Assist with general grounds and external upkeep, including bins and minor landscaping tasks where applicable.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and ad hoc breakdowns as required.
  • Transport goods, equipment, and materials to and from various locations.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately, safely, and within required timeframes.
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure compliance with all road safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle usage.
  • Plan efficient routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Monitor fuel usage, refuel responsibly, and maintain accurate fuel records and receipts where applicable.
  • Safeguard goods in transit by ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage or loss.
  • Provide timely communication and updates regarding delivery status, delays, or operational issues.
  • Report and monitor scheduled vehicle servicing and ensure basic vehicle care requirements are met.
  • Maintain professional conduct and representation of the company when interacting with clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with stock handling, storage, inventory movement, and general stock control as required.
  • Support stock counts, reconciliations, and reporting of any discrepancies when needed.
  • Provide assistance with receiving incoming deliveries and preparing items for dispatch.
  • Offer ad hoc operational and administrative support to relevant teams.
