Head of Ecosystem Marketing - Midrand
Overview
The Ecosystem marketing role leads the marketing interface for all Dis-Chem ecosystem offerings, including Financial Services (Insurance & Health), Clinic/Pharmacy services, Loyalty & Societal Health Programmes. It manages a team of ecosystem-aligned marketers who translate ecosystem strategies into actionable marketing plans, campaign objectives, service-specific content briefs, and cross-channel execution requirements. It acts as a strategic partner to ecosystem business leaders to support growth, customer adoption, and engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline
- 8+ years’ experience in category marketing, brand management, ecosystem marketing, or integrated marketing leadership roles within retail, healthcare, financial services, FMCG, or consumer-facing environments
- 3–5 years’ experience in a leadership or people management role
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end marketing planning and execution for service-led environments
Responsibilities
- Lead development of annual Ecosystem marketing plans for Financial services, Clinic/pharmacy, and societal health programmes
- Translate ecosystem objectives into clear campaign goals, messaging priorities, value propositions, and timelines
- Develop ecosystem-specific insights derived from service utilisation trends, customer behaviour, competitive dynamics, and market research
- Guide and coach ecosystem marketing resources to deliver high-quality briefs, insights, and ecosystem-aligned marketing requirements
- Ensure development of strong campaign and content briefs that provide clear direction to Creative and content, and Integrated marketing campaign teams
- Partner with Integrated marketing campaign team to ensure cross-channel execution aligns with ecosystem requirements
- Monitor execution quality across all channels and ensure campaigns meet regulatory, brand, and service standards
- Support ecosystem adoption and engagement by coordinating targeted campaigns, education content, and in-store service promotion
