Responsibilities:

As a Junior Restaurant Manager at Nando’s, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily operations: Overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service: Leading by example to ensure that all customers receive outstanding service and have a positive dining experience.
  • Leading and developing a team: Motivating and managing a team of restaurant staff, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure their professional growth and performance.
  • Monitoring and maintaining standards: Ensuring adherence to Nando’s operational standards, food safety regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Financial management: Assisting with inventory management, cost control measures, and monitoring financial performance to achieve targets.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for the position of Junior Restaurant Manager, you should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Matric: High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 2-3 years of restaurant management experience: Proven experience in managing restaurant operations, including staff supervision, customer service, and financial management.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy: A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality standards are maintained in all aspects of the restaurant’s operations.
  • Ability to manage a group of people: Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations: In-depth understanding of restaurant procedures, industry best practices, and customer service principles.
