Job Description:
Are you a skilled and safety-conscious professional with experience in operating locomotives? Sasol is seeking a dedicated Locomotive Driver to join their team and play a vital role in our transportation operations. As a Locomotive Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of locomotives, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials to various destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate locomotives to transport goods and materials according to established schedules and routes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the well-being of yourself, colleagues, and the environment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of locomotives to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Monitor locomotive systems and controls during operation to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate transportation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or operational issues promptly to supervisors.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Matric / Grade 12
- 2 Years Experience
