Maintenance Lead
Overview
RCL Foods is currently looking for a Maintenance Lead to join our Groceries & Spreads Business Unit. The role is based in Boksburg and will report to the Engineering Manager. This position will provide hands-on expertise and leadership of the engineering staff, operators, artisans, and assistants ensuring the proactive maintenance, repair, and service of equipment within the production plant.
Requirements
- Qualified Mechanical Artisan with at least a National Technical Diploma or other relevant diploma (NTS 6)
- Four years as an apprentice, plus a minimum of 3-5 additional years’ experience in FMCG – Wet food, Pharmaceutical, Mechanical & Electrical services industry
Responsibilities
- Responsible for health and safety with regards to all equipment
- Drive compliance to the legal OSHA requirements within the scope of production plant
- Lead execution of routine preventative and predictive maintenance
- Supervise and assign maintenance work to contractors daily
- Manage the Maintenance team with regards to HR and IR issues
