Millwright - Pretoria West
Overview
RCL FOODS is seeking a Millwright to join our Baking Division. The role will be based in Pretoria West and reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
- Millwright Trade
- 3 or more years of post-trade experience
- PLC/VSD Drives experience
- Experience with panel wiring
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Report writing and analysis on job
- Mentoring apprentices
- Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby
- Driver’s license with own transport
- Hands on experience with installation, maintenance and repairs of machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, slicers and packaging equipment
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
- Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists
- Comply with Food Safety
- Assemble, install and/or repair pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
- Diagnose and correct mechanical issues
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine problems
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Record maintenance and repair work
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
