Job Summary:
Old Mutual, a leading financial services provider in South Africa, is seeking dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bank Tellers at our various branches. As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing financial transactions, and assisting customers with their banking needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, welcoming customers and addressing their banking inquiries and needs.
- Process various financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, and account transfers.
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and procedures, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
- Promote and educate customers on bank products and services, including savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
- Assist customers with account inquiries, statements, and general banking inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and refer customers to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Maintain and balance cash drawers, ensuring accurate and secure handling of cash transactions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to security, confidentiality, and data protection.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in a customer service role within the banking industry is preferred.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills, with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues effectively.
- Knowledge of banking products, services, and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer applications and banking software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong ethics and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining customer confidentiality.
