People Business Partner
Overview
Shoprite Technology is seeking a seasoned People Business Partner to lead strategic people initiatives, driving the alignment of HR strategies with business goals at a senior level. This role requires expertise in business partnering, workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management, leveraging data-driven insights to design and implement sustainable people solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
- +3 years in Talent Management/HR Business Partnering or equivalent role
- Demonstrable knowledge of HR practices within the FMCG, retail / ecommerce sector
- Exposure to statutory requirements and ability to apply relevant laws and HR policies
- Sound understanding of diversity and inclusion concepts
- Proven track record of strong generalist HR delivery
Responsibilities
- Partner with portfolio leaders to implement People plans aligned to operational priorities
- Coordinate the delivery of People initiatives across the employee lifecycle
- Manage escalated employee and manager queries and provide guidance on People policies
- Collaborate with People Solutions, People Services and local People Delivery teams
- Analyse people data and workforce trends to identify issues and recommend actions
- Build trusted relationships with portfolio stakeholders
- Coach managers on the application of People practices
- Support career management, succession planning and capability development activities
- Promote employee wellness, inclusion and communication initiatives
- Contribute to People budget planning and monitor People-related costs
- Apply relevant labour relations frameworks and support compliance checks
- Support the implementation of change initiatives and new People solutions
