Requirements
- National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) from an accredited institution
- Valid registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic)
- At least one year of practical experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist with accurate medication dispensing under supervision
- Prepare and label medication according to prescribed guidelines
- Monitor pharmacy stock and support timely replenishment
- Assist with inventory audits and report stock discrepancies
- Complete pharmacy-related administrative tasks and records
- Maintain accurate documentation and support compliance requirements
- Provide professional frontshop customer service
- Respond to customer enquiries and support their needs
- Keep the pharmacy clean and organised
- Follow health and safety requirements within the pharmacy
- Adhere to pharmacy regulations and ethical practices
- Work effectively with pharmacists and other team members
- Participate in training and professional development activities
