Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our Facilities Management team based in Rosebank, at one of our client sites. The Plumber will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all plumbing systems at the site, including maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Requirements
- Certification in plumbing or a related field is required (Diploma or equivalent)
- Must possess the necessary plumbing certification or license as required by local regulations
- Proficiency in English language
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working as a plumber, preferably in a facilities management environment
- Previous experience in managing plumbing systems within commercial or large residential facilities is preferred
- Experience in responding to plumbing emergencies and providing quick solutions to prevent operational disruptions
- Proficient knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas systems
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify and resolve plumbing issues efficiently
- In-depth understanding of local plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Ability to perform maintenance on a variety of plumbing systems, including pumps, water heaters, toilets, and pipes
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in plumbing tasks
- Knowledge of health and safety practices
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and fittings related to water, drainage, heating, and other systems
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues promptly to prevent disruptions to the operation of facilities
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems and identify areas that require maintenance or improvement
- Ensure the proper installation and functioning of water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems
- Respond to urgent plumbing problems, including clogged drains, leaking pipes, and broken fixtures
- Work with the facilities management team to schedule and perform maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance tasks
