Product Compliance Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Compliance Manager to lead product compliance, technical risk, product reliability, field safety and technical training across the organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Safety Management, Compliance or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in product compliance, technical risk, engineering compliance or product reliability.
- At least 3 years' experience managing technical or multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in mining, industrial or other safety-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of MHSA, OHSA, Section 21, Regulation 8.10, ISO 45001, SANS and applicable certification requirements.
- Experience with FMEA, WRAC, risk assessments, ICAM/root-cause analysis, RMA and reliability processes.
- Strong technical report writing, data analysis and document-control skills.
- Advanced MS Office proficiency, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Training/facilitation, OHS, Quality, Risk Management or ISO 45001 qualifications will be advantageous.
- Medically fit and willing to travel regularly to branches, customer sites and mines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product compliance, risk, reliability, safety and technical training frameworks.
- Ensure products comply with applicable legislation, regulations, SANS standards, certifications and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage product certification and recertification, including MASC, ICASA, ISERT, ITC and other applicable approvals.
- Maintain technical compliance files, certificates, test reports, risk assessments and supporting documentation.
- Lead technical and operational risk management, including FMEA, WRAC, risk registers and mitigation plans.
- Oversee RMA investigations, root-cause analysis, reliability investigations and product improvement initiatives.
- Analyse field failures and trends and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Manage field services safety and support the ongoing implementation of the ISO 45001 safety management system.
- Oversee investigations into incidents, technical failures, non-conformances and safety events.
- Lead and develop Technical Trainers and ensure effective, competency-based technical training across branches and sites.
- Own the development, approval and document control of technical training material, assessments and competency standards.
- Support product development, testing, validation, change control and release processes by ensuring compliance, risk, reliability, safety and training requirements are addressed.
- Monitor regulatory changes, support audits and ensure findings and corrective actions are closed.
- Provide compliance support for RFQs and tenders when required.
- Manage direct reports, departmental objectives, resources and performance.
- Provide regular reporting on compliance, risk, RMA, reliability, safety and training.
