Overview
The Production Plant Manager will oversee the production execution across various concentrator process areas, including crushing, milling, flotation, and associated operational interfaces. The role requires operating within a commissioning and ramp-up environment, linking production with metallurgy, maintenance, and engineering teams while ensuring effective operations and shift management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, BTech, BEng or BSc in Extractive Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Management Development Programme, postgraduate management qualification or equivalent formal leadership development.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant mineral-processing or concentrator operations experience.
- At least 5 years in a Senior Metallurgist, production superintendent, production manager, plant manager or equivalent senior operational leadership role.
- Experience commissioning or operating a large-scale greenfield or brownfield concentrator.
- Experience with advanced process-control systems, plant historians, and data analytics.
- Demonstrated experience leading a 24-hour mineral-processing operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead production execution across the assigned concentrator process areas.
- Operate within a commissioning and ramp-up environment.
- Provide the direct operational link between metallurgy, production, maintenance, engineering, and other teams.
- Ensure effective shift handovers and manage escalation.
