Project Manager
Overview
Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their company based in the Western Cape. You will be responsible for managing engineering and mining equipment projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Project Management qualification
- Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA
- Minimum 10 years' project management experience
- Strong technical and project management experience within mining equipment, mineral processing, engineering or related environments
- Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Manage allocated engineering and mining equipment projects and provide leadership and guidance to project teams.
- Set up projects during the enquiry and award stages and coordinate project teams.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and establish project objectives and deliverables.
- Obtain and manage client approval of project scope, schedules, pricing and commercial conditions.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work packages.
- Establish and manage project budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Define project quality targets, standards and quality control procedures.
- Establish effective communication between clients, project teams, internal departments and external specialists.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks.
- Develop and implement Health, Safety and Environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage overall project execution and ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Manage project change requests and assess associated financial and schedule implications.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding technical matters and project expediting.
