Radiographer
Overview
The Radiographer is responsible for providing digital chest x-ray services, including screening, collecting data, diagnosing TB, and making referrals at supported health facilities.
Requirements
- Diploma/BTech in Diagnostic Radiography
- HPCSA registration as a Radiographer
- Own car
- Valid driver’s licence
- Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land or air if required
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- SA citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
- Intermediate computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics etc
- Willing to work overtime
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
