Overview
As a SAP Basis Functional Consultant at Pepkor Lifestyle, you will play a critical role in managing the technical infrastructure of our SAP systems, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance. You will be responsible for ensuring SAP systems operate reliably and efficiently and to maintain the integrity of the SAP environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certified in ITIL 3
- Proven experience as a SAP Basis Functional Consultant with hands-on experience in SAP system administration
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis Administration tasks, including system installations, upgrades, security management, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with SAP landscapes running on different databases (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration
- Administer the SAP database in alignment with agreed standards
- Introduce technical changes into the environment to minimise risk
- Provide reporting in a timely manner for all relevant stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with business and portfolio stakeholders
- Effectively manage self to deliver on agreed individual and team objectives
