SENIOR MANAGER: PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Overview
The Senior Manager for Professional Practice is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight within the Professional Practice sector, which includes areas such as Preliminary Investigations, Impairment, Inspectorate, Private Practice, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role involves leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of operational plans and policies related to Professional Practice while establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Additional qualification in Nursing Management/Administration/Health Service Management/Administration/Leadership
- Additional Qualification in Clinical Specialisation
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of nursing, with 5 years in a nursing practice environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ Management experience in Nursing Practice/Education/Regulatory body or relevant health service environment
- Valid South African Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the review of the Strategic plan and Annual Performance Plan
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Annual Operational Plan for Professional Practice
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure efficiency of operations within Professional Practice
- Conceptualize and lead a turnaround strategy in the implementation of Continuing Professional Development
- Establish and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders and critical partners on Professional Practice related matters
- Evaluate and improve existing processes within Professional Practice
