SENIOR OFFICER: SDP ACCREDITATION
Overview
The Senior Officer for SDP Accreditation is responsible for managing the accreditation process, conducting site visits, and providing guidance to skills development providers. This role involves stakeholder engagement, collaboration with educational institutions and government agencies to enhance skills curriculum, and supporting professional development initiatives. The officer is also tasked with executing work plans, maintaining compliance with policies, and ensuring efficient record-keeping.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent, at a minimum NQF Level 4
- Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification in Education, Training and Development (ETD), Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in the education, training and development sector, of which 1-3 years must be at an Officer Level
Responsibilities
- Receive confirmed allocation in preparation for site visits
- Conduct site visits to recommend providers for accreditation and provide guidance on the accreditation process
- Follow up on remediation requirements
- Submit comprehensive reports to the manager in line with the SOP and requirements by the QCTO
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practices in skills curriculum implementation
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and forums for curricular development feedback
- Identify skill gaps or training needs among SDPs to assist professional development initiatives
- Attend meetings, compile and submit reports, and escalate urgent matters in the absence of the manager
- Execute work plans and drive evidence collection
- Produce reports against implementation of work plans
- Respond to audit findings with complete evidence on time
- Implement documented data management practices
