Overview
To provide strategic leadership across Procurement, Logistics and Facilities Management functions. Responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, driving cost optimisation initiatives, managing supplier relationships, ensuring governance and compliance, and leading high-performing teams in support of operational excellence.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Purchasing Management
- 7 Years' relevant procurement, accounting and stock management experience, preferably in senior positions
- Prior leadership positions in the relevant areas/industries
- Exposure to the engineering industry, especially construction and power generation will be a distinct advantage
- Computer literate (MS Office, SAP – ERP System)
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and develop potential BBBEE vendors and strategic supplier partnerships
- Update Vendor Master data daily
- Conduct Third Party Due Diligence (TPDD) checks on all new vendors as and when required
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, governance requirements and best practice
- Administer terms and conditions of purchases
- Negotiate and conclude framework agreements and/or contracts in line with business requirements
- Drive cost saving as per agreed savings matrix
- Ensure the timely procurement of goods and services to meet requirements
- Implement and maintain effective Procure to Pay process according to the Internal Control System
- Review invoices for payment in line with ICS requirements
- Oversee the management of the Logistics and Facilities Management departments
- Drive continuous improvement, process optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives
