Store-keeping Assistant (K Hay band)
Overview
To ensure effective and efficient management and replenishment of inventory, supervise staff, manage rotable inventory and maintain compliance with SHEQ standards and organisational requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- Inventory /Financial (NQF Level 6) qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity within an Inventory Environment
- Computer literate – Intermediate to advance in Excel, MS Word and SAP
- A valid Code B Driver’s license and the ability to pass RW’s driving test
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the pulling, packing and binning of stock
- Ensure direct purchases are delivered accurately on time
- Monitor and minimize fuel spillages
- Ensure all legislative and compliance requirements are met
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are adhered to
- Supervise and monitor the receipt and issue of stock as per procedure
- Efficient and prompt handling of queries/complaints pertaining to stock and/or service delivery
- Assist with supervising and monitoring the safe receipt, issue and storage of fuel
- Run material replenishment process on a weekly basis / as and when required
- Create and release requisitions promptly
- Monitor and maintain the QMS ISO 9001
- Managing sectional legal compliance
- Constant SDS maintenance and monitoring
- Safe and responsible handling and usage of Rand Water vehicles, including forklifts
