Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for leading a dynamic store team to achieve business KPIs, emphasizing sales increases, cost control, risk mitigation, and stock management, while ensuring compliance with administrative protocols and maintaining world-class store standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Proficient in English
- Relevant tertiary education - a degree/diploma in a business/retail related field would be an advantage
- Ideally 1-2 years experience in a retail environment within a leadership role
- Computer Literate (Microsoft and/or Google GSuite - will be an advantage)
Responsibilities
- Increase sales by focusing on customer service and world-class store standards, maintenance of the store image, stock management and promotional implementation
- Minimise stock loss by fostering a healthy store culture and adhering to security measures, stock and cash handling procedures
- Manage costs effectively according to the company low-cost culture by improving efficiencies in the store
- Ensure that all administrative duties within the store comply with company guidelines
- Lead and develop a team through training, coaching, and performance management
- Maintain general health, safety and housekeeping standards
