Telemarketer
Overview
The Telemarketer is responsible for promoting and selling Scorpions Legal and Funeral products through outbound telephonic sales. This role involves using company-provided systems, scripts, and leads to achieve individual and team sales targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 12 and/or equivalent qualification
- Additional call centre training would be advantageous
- FAIS accreditation will be considered an advantage
- Minimum of 1 year’s telemarketing experience
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets
- Proven track record of achieving individual and team performance goals
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Professional telephone manner with strong customer engagement and service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-driven with the ability to achieve targets
- Excellent telephone etiquette
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual weekly and monthly sales targets
- Contribute towards team and company sales objectives
- Work closely with management to monitor and improve performance
- Contact and engage prospective members using company-provided leads
- Market Scorpion products in accordance with approved sales scripts and processes
- Accurately capture member information and policy details
- Ensure all required disclosures and declarations are made during the sales process
- Adhere strictly to company policies, sales scripts, and regulatory requirements
- Complete all required reports accurately and within prescribed deadlines
- Handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- Escalate complaints or potential complaints to management immediately
