Role Overview:
As an Apprentice Electrician at Samancor, you will be part of a dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and operations within our mining operations. This Apprenticeship program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a skilled Electrician in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting experienced Electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Learning and applying electrical principles and safety practices.
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient functioning of electrical systems.
  • Participating in training and development sessions to enhance your technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects.
  • 1x Relevant Electrician Trade theory subject will be required.
  • Mathematics / Physical Science / Engineering Science with minimum 60%.
  • Proof of qualification to be attached and certified.
  • Will undergo a medical examination.
  • Will be required to undergo a psychometric assessment, hand-eye foot coordination test.
