Role Overview:
As an Apprentice Electrician at Samancor, you will be part of a dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and operations within our mining operations. This Apprenticeship program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a skilled Electrician in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting experienced Electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Learning and applying electrical principles and safety practices.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient functioning of electrical systems.
- Participating in training and development sessions to enhance your technical expertise.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects.
- 1x Relevant Electrician Trade theory subject will be required.
- Mathematics / Physical Science / Engineering Science with minimum 60%.
- Proof of qualification to be attached and certified.
- Will undergo a medical examination.
- Will be required to undergo a psychometric assessment, hand-eye foot coordination test.
